Musicians open with exhibition win

The newest member of the World Basketball Association, the expansion franchise, Murfreesboro Musicians opened up the season with a 122-84 victory over the Nashville Select All-Star Team in an exhibition game at Lavergne High School this past Thursday night.

The Musicians were led in scoring by Damien Goodman, who scored 16 points and pulled down 9 rebounds. Former MTSU All-Sun Belt Conference Player, Tommy Gunn added 15 points, and 7'2-275-Center, Julius Lamptey scored 13 points and pulled down 8 rebounds. The Musicians played all 15 players still vying for positions on their 12 man Active Roster. The Musicians will announce their Active Roster on Tuesday of this upcoming week. The Musicians will carry a 3 player Practice/Developmental Squad throughout the upcoming WBA Season.

The Murfreesboro Musicians will play the North Mississippi Tornadoes this Tuesday evening at 7:30pm at Lavergne High School and will open up their WBA Regular Season on this upcoming Friday night, April 21st in Cleveland, TN vs the Cleveland Majic. The Musicians will host the Cleveland Majic in Murfreesboro at 7pm on Saturday night, April 22nd at Oakland High School in their regular season home opener.
