
Multiple Bucks Among Best Of The Best

LAREDO, Texas â In a recently conducted poll of CHL Broadcasters and Media Relations people the Laredo Bucks captured seven separate category awards in the CHL Best of the Best polling. Bucks players dotted the overall lineup and Laredo fans were selected as the top fans in the CHL. The Bucks are on the road this weekend tonight in Memphis, Tulsa on Saturday and Wichita on Sunday. The awards were a regularly yearly staple of the CHL, but have returned this year after a two season hiatus.
Bucks forward Jeff Bes was selected as the Best Playmaker. He was also second in Best Stick Handler, Best Penalty Killer, and third in Best Overall Player.
Bucks forward Chris Grenville captured the Hardest Shot honors. He was second in Best On Power Play
Bucks forward Brent Cullaton, who along with Bes and Grenville formed the potent âThree Amigo' line, captured Best Skater.
Bucks head coach Terry Ruskowski was voted the second Best Coach.
In addition to the Best Fans selection in team awards the Bucks were voted as having the Best Uniforms, Best On Ice Promotions, and the Toughest Building To Win In.
The CHL is currently conducting balloting for their official year end awards. Bes has been nominated for MVP. Rookie J.F. David is a nominee for Defenseman of the Year, and Bucks goalie David Guerrera is up for Rookie of the Year and Goaltender of the Year.
