WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY - Behind four early runs and terrific relief pitching, the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Short Season Class A affiliate of the New York Mets, won the rubber game 4-2 against Hudson Valley Friday night at Dutchess Stadium.

BIG MOMENTS

Matt Mullenbach struck out three consecutive batters in the bottom of the eighth inning, stranding the bases loaded to preserve the 4-2 lead. Mullenbach entered after Triple-A Syracuse rehabber P.J. Conlon loaded the bases.

Wilmer Reyes drove in a pair of runs in Brooklyn's early rally, doubling in the first run before singling in the second inning to make it 4-0.

Jared Biddy, Justin Lasko, P.J. Conlon, and Matt Mullenbach combined for 6 2/3 scoreless innings of relief in the victory.
