MUDBUGS SILENCE THE THUNDER 4-0

The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs hosted the Wichita Thunder last Thursday in the CHL's only game that evening. The Mudbugs displayed one of their strongest performances of the season, shutting out Wichita 4-0. Kyle Musselman scored the first two Mudbug goals, his first two this season. Dan Wildfong and Chris Brassard converted on the powerplay to carry Bossier-Shreveport to a perfect 3-0-0 against Wichita this season. Ken Carroll's second shutout of the year places him one away from tying the career shutout record held by Rod Branch at 22.

BUGS BEAT RIVERKINGS 3-2 IN OVERTIME

The Mudbugs were idle on Friday night but traveled to play Memphis in the fourth meeting between the two teams this season. The game was neck and neck the whole way through with Joe Ori and Chris Gustafson scoring in regulation. The Mudbugs entered the five minute OT session making quick work of the offense. Brian Sutherland fed a puck down low to Forbes MacPherson in the corner, who in turn passed to the front of the net to a wide open Dan Wildfong. Wildfong slipped the puck by Larry Sterling for the overtime, game winning goal.

MUDBUGS STARS OF THE WEEK

KEN CARROLL - Posted his second shutout of the season on Thursday and got the win against Memphis.

DAN WILDFONG - Had three points in two games, including the game winning goal in overtime versus Memphis.

FORBES MACPHERSON - The playmaker assisted in three of the Mudbugs seven goals in a two game span.

POWERPLAY WITH SCOTT MUSCUTT -

Catch Powerplay with Head Coach Scott Muscutt tomorrow night, December 12th at 6 P.M. at Buffalo Wild Wings located at the Boardwalk in Bossier City. Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Scott Muscutt and Justin Scholtes will discuss everything involving Mudbugs hockey. Members of the Mudbugs team will also be on hand. KEN CARROLL NAMED OAKLEY CHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK

Mudbugs goaltender Ken Carroll was named Oakley CHL goaltender of the week on Monday, December 11th. Carroll earned the honor after posting his second shutout of the season against Wichita last Thursday and holding Memphis to two goals on Saturday. Carroll leads the league with a goals against average of 1.72. His save percentage is also the best in the league at .947.

CLAWED TO APPEAR AT "KID'S NIGHT" AT BUFFALO WILD WINGS THIS WEDNESDAY

Buffalo Wild Wings is hosting "Kid's Night" this Wednesday, December 13th. Clawed, the Mudbugs' Mascot will be there between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM to greet all children and fans.

ALL-STAR BANQUET TICKETS TO GO ON SALE TUESDAY

Tickets to the 2007 All-Star Banquet dinner presented by Dodge will go on sale to the public starting on Tuesday, December 12th. The Banquet will be held on January 16th from 5:30 PM-8:00 PM at the Horseshoe Casino RiverDome. Comedian Jim Breuer and Colorado Avalanche President Pierre Lacroix are scheduled to entertain and speak at the event. Tickets are $100 per person. Tables can be purchased for $1,500 and include nine banquet tickets plus dinner with a Mudbugs player of your choice. Players will be reserved on a first come first serve basis. UPCOMING GAME PROMOTIONS

CHRISTMAS PARTY - Come celebrate Christmas with the Mudbugs on December 22nd as the Mudbugs take on the Memphis RiverKings. The Mudbugs will be wearing special Christmas Jerseys that will be auctioned off immediately following the game. Then stick around to skate with the Mudbugs players.

CHEERLEADER NIGHT - Anyone wearing a cheerleading outfit gets free admission when the Mudbugs host the Tulsa Oilers on January 5th, 2007 at 7:05 PM. Tickets for family and friends are available at group rate of $9 per ticket. Please call the Mudbugs office at 318-752-BUGS for details.

The Mudbugs are off all week with the next home game scheduled for December 22nd against the Memphis RiverKings. The Bugs hit the road for a Saturday night game against Wichita on December 16th.
