Rocky Mountain Rage News Release
Dec. 6 vs. Colorado Eagles, 3-1 Loss - The in-state rival Eagles ended the Rage's three-game home winning streak in a game that was a one-goal contest the entire third period until the visitors tallied an empty-netter in the final 10 seconds.
Dec. 8 @ Arizona Sundogs, 6-3 Loss - Down 2-0 early in the second period, the Rage's Chip Dunleavy and Craig Olynick set a new team record by scoring 19 seconds apart to tie the game at two. Arizona quickly rebounded, though, and re-took the lead 1:19 later on their way to winning the season's first meeting between the CHL's two expansion teams.
Dec. 9 @ New Mexico Scorpions, 4-3 Loss - The Rage got off to a flying start when Anders Strome scored 2:22 into the game, but slowly New Mexico took over and Rocky Mountain had to rely upon 30 saves from goaltender David Guererra to reach the third tied at one. The Scorps then scored a power play goal and a shorthanded goal in the period's first two minutes to send the Rage to their third consecutive loss.
