SEASON-HIGH WIN STREAK - On Friday night, the Mudbugs won their season-high fourth straight game in a 5-4 victory over the Odessa Jackalopes at the Ector County Coliseum. After falling behind 2-0 through one period, the Mudbugs dominated the second with goals from Chad Spurr, Dale Lupul, and Jason Basile, along with a 21-6 shots advantage. Odessa would tie the game three minutes into the third period, but Blair Manning answered just thirty seconds later to reclaim the lead.

60 SHOTS NOT ENOUGH - On Saturday night, the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs recorded 60 shots on goal, their second-most in a game in franchise history, but Fort Worth goaltender Larry Sterling made 57 saves in a 4-3 victory for the Brahmas in front of 6,343 fans at the CenturyTel Center. In the third period, the Mudbugs continued to pepper Sterling with shots but were unable to beat the Brahmas goaltender. Fort Worth took the lead with 8:43 remaining in the third period as Wes Mason jammed a puck past Mudbugs goaltender David Cacciola for a 4-3 lead. Sterling finished with 17 third period saves for his fourth win of the year against the Mudbugs.

MEMPHIS DROPPED 4-2 - On Sunday evening at the CenturyTel Center, the Mudbugs defeated the Memphis RiverKings for the sixth time in nine games this year, 4-2 behind two goals from Milan Vodrazka (vuh-DROZ-kuh) and 31 saves from Ken Carroll. The Mudbugs have won five of their last six games and lead the Northeast Division by 13 points. Memphis' Darrell Stoddard scored on the power play at 11:48 of the first period, but Vodrazka scored his first of the game just 26 seconds later for a 1-1 deadlock after one. In the second period, Dan Wildfong and Blair Manning gave the Mudbugs their first lead.

POWER PLAY AT BUFFALO WILD WINGS RETURNS!- On Tuesday January 31st, the Mudbugs' radio show, "Power Play with Scott Muscutt" will return to Buffalo Wild Wings on the Louisiana Boardwalk at 6:00 p.m.. Tuesday's guests will include forward Shane Palahicky and "A.G." from the K94.5 FM Morning Show.

MUDBUG SCHEDULE CHANGES - The Mudbugs' home game on Saturday March 25th versus Austin has been moved to Sunday March 12th at 7:05 p.m. due to a scheduling conflict at the CenturyTel Center. Also, earlier this season the Mudbugs road game on Tuesday January 31st at Rio Grande Valley was moved to March 8th.

MUDBUGS NOTES - The Mudbugs are 7-1-2 in their last ten games and have won five of their last six..... Eight of the Mudbugs' 13 games in February will be played on the road..... The Mudbugs are 13-0-2 when leading after two periods.

THIS WEEK - This week, the Mudbugs will travel to Corpus Christi, Texas for two games against the Corpus Christi Rayz at the American Bank Center. Both games on Thursday and Friday will begin at 7:35 p.m. On Saturday night, the Mudbugs will meet the Fort Worth Brahmas for the final time on the regular season.
