Mudbugs vs. Eagles Game 3 Tomorrow at the CTC

BOSSIER CITY, LA - The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs' quest for the 2010 CHL Ray Miron President's Cup Championship continues tomorrow at the CenturyTel Center with Game 3 of their second round playoff series against the Colorado Eagles at 7:05 pm. Leading 2-0 in the best-of-seven series, the 'Bugs can push Colorado to the brink of elimination with another victory in their home playoff opener tomorrow night.
Last weekend Bossier-Shreveport became just the second visiting team to open a playoff series with back-to-back wins over Colorado at the Budweiser Events Center. The Mudbugs rallied from a three-goal deficit in the third period of Game 1, tying the game and then winning it 4-3 on a Joe Blaznek overtime goal to take a 1-0 series lead. The 'Bugs then stole Game 2 as well, scoring twice in the third and holding on to earn another 4-3 victory despite being outshot 47-23.
The Mudbugs now hold a 2-0 series lead for the first time since 2004 and will attempt to go up 3-0 tomorrow night for the first time since the 2001 postseason, when they won their last President's Cup Championship. The Eagles, however, have fallen behind 0-3 just once before in their history and will come to Bossier City having won four of their last five games here.
Following tomorrow's Game 3, the 'Bugs will also host Game 4 of the series on Thursday night and, if necessary, Game 5 on Friday.
