Mudbugs Host Sundogs in Game 2 Tonight

BOSSIER CITY, LA - The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs will host the Arizona Sundogs again tonight at 7:05 pm in Game 2 of their Central Hockey League Opening Round Playoff series at the CenturyTel Center, presented by the Shreveport Times. The Mudbugs lead the best-of-five series 1-0 after winning Game 1 last night.
Another win tonight would give Bossier-Shreveport back-to-back home victories to open the series and put the pressure on Arizona going into Tuesday's Game 3. Last night the Sundogs took leads of 1-0 and 2-1 in the first period, but David Rutherford scored twice in the second frame to give the ¬ËBugs a lead they would not relinquish. Ryan Munce made 27 saves in goal and the Mudbugs went 6-for-6 on the penalty kill to earn the 3-2 Game 1 victory.
Tonight at the Gateway Tire Fan Services Center, our silent auction featuring a collection of various autographed and game-used Mudbugs items will continue through the end of the second intermission. In addition to giving you your own unique piece of Mudbugs history, the funds raised from the auction will be used to help offset the extra travel costs of the Mudbugs flying to Arizona next week rather than enduring a grueling, 24-hour bus ride before Games 3 and 4 (if necessary) of the series.
The Mudbugs will also host a public skating session following tonight's game for a cost of just $6.00 including skate rental. Tickets can be purchased at the Gateway Tire Fan Services Center inside the main CenturyTel Center entrance.
