Mudbugs' Homestand Ends this Weekend

BOSSIER CITY, LA - With just three more home games remaining in the 2010-11 CHL regular season, the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs will complete a late-season homestand with two more games at the CenturyTel Center this weekend! Friday night the ¬ËBugs host the Dayton Gems and Saturday night they ¬â¢ll battle the rival Texas Brahmas to benefit JDRF.
Friday at 7:05 the Mudbugs will welcome youth sports organizations from around the Ark-La-Tex for "Youth Sports Night", presented by the Shreveport Times. As we take on the Gems for the final time this season, kids are encouraged to wear gear of their favorite local, college or pro sports team to the game. We ¬â¢ll also be celebrating the birthday of team mascot Clawed at Friday ¬â¢s game, which will be attended by many of his mascot friends from teams and companies all over the Bossier-Shreveport area!
To help celebrate Clawed ¬â¢s birthday, Mudbugs representatives will also be selling discounted tickets to Friday ¬â¢s game at the Louisiana Boardwalk for just $10 each! Stop by the Mudbugs table near the fountain (across from Copeland ¬â¢s Cheesecake Bistro) tomorrow between 11:00 am and 6:30 pm and Friday from 11:00 to 3:00 pm to take advantage of this special ticket offer!
Saturday ¬â¢s game pits the Mudbugs against the Texas Brahmas at 7:05 in another rivalry game on "JDRF Night", presented by Lou Chandler, Inc. The evening will be devoted to benefitting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the worldwide leader for type 1 diabetes research.
One dollar from every single-game and group ticket sold for Saturday ¬â¢s game will go to JDRF, as will most of the proceeds from a live post-game auction of the teal jerseys worn by the Mudbugs during the pre-game warm-up of every home game this season. Don ¬â¢t miss this important late-season showdown and a chance to help kids with diabetes Saturday at the CTC!
The Mudbugs will also be offering public skating sessions following both of this weekend ¬â¢s home games for a cost of just $6.00 including skate rental. Tickets can be purchased at the Gateway Tire Fan Services Center inside the main CenturyTel Center entrance.
