Chicago Rush News Release

Chicago Rush lineman John Moyer was named the AFL's ADT Defensive Player of the Month for his performance in February, the AFL announced today.

Moyer, a 2003 first-team All-Arena selection, recorded six tackles, two sacks, recovered two fumbles and blocked an extra-point attempt, while helping lead the Rush to its first 4-0 start in team history.

"Our defense, especially the defensive line, is playing well right now," said Moyer. "And any individual honors I may receive are a result of some great teammates playing well around me."

In Chicago's final game before its bye week, the Rush looks to go 5-0 as it travels to the City of Brotherly Love to take on Jon Bon Jovi's expansion Philadelphia Soul. The Rush has won five-consecutive regular season road games while the Soul (1-3) returns home after a heart-breaking loss Sunday in Tampa. Fans in Chicago can watch the 11 a.m. game on NBC 5 Chicago, or listen to Tom Dore and John Jurkovic call the action on ESPN 1000.

The Rush returns home to Allstate Arena Sunday, March 21, at 11 a.m. against the Orlando Predators. Fans wishing to purchase individual game tickets to the Orlando game, or any of the Rush 2004 home games, may order by calling Ticketmaster at (312) 559-1212, or by visiting the Ticketmaster Web site at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets also may be purchased in person at any Ticketmaster outlet or the Allstate Arena box office.
