
Undefeated Chicago takes on Philly in AFL lead game this Sunday

NEW YORK â Mar. 4, 2004 â NBC Sports' four-game regional coverage of the Arena Football League on Sunday, Mar. 7, moves to noon ET with the lead match-up of undefeated Chicago (4-0) facing Philadelphia (1-3). Bob Papa (play-by-play), Ray Bentley (analyst) and reporter Val Sikahema from WCAU-TV in Philadelphia have the call.
During NBC's five-week coverage of the PGA Tour's "Southern Swing," which tees off this weekend with the Ford Championship at Doral in Miami on Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. ET, the AFL on NBC will move to noon ET each Sunday. The weekend of The Players Championship (March 27-28) there will be no AFL games broadcast on NBC.
Los Angeles quarterback Tony Graziani will join studio host Al Trautwig and analyst Glenn Parker for a preview of Sunday's match-ups, halftime game updates and post game wrap-up interviews.
NBC's other AFL regional games include:
Las Vegas (2-2) @ Georgia (2-2): Eli Gold (play-by-play), Charles Davis (analyst), and reporter Fred Kalil from WXIA-TV in Atlanta;
Undefeated San Jose (3-0) @ New York (1-3): Tom Hammond (play-by-play), Pat Haden (analyst), and Lewis Johnson (reporter);
Tampa Bay (2-2) @ New Orleans (3-1): Allen Bestwick (play-by-play), Mike Pawlawski (analyst) and Rich Lenz from WDSU-TV in New Orleans.
âNASCAR 3D: The IMAX Experience' to Make Broadcast Debut on NBC
Also on Sunday, the AFL on NBC coverage will feature an exclusive preview from "NASCAR 3D: The IMAX Experience." Opening nationwide on March 12, the latest IMAX movie delves into the NASCAR phenomenon and showcases the thrill and speed of the sport up-close and personal on eight story-high IMAX® screens. NBC will debut a two-minute excerpt from "NASCAR 3D: The IMAX Experience" film during the four regional AFL broadcasts which begin at noon ET. The AFL will also show the excerpt on video screens.
