More Than 44,000 Lbs. of Food Collected for Purolator Tackle Hunger
A total of 44,537 lbs. of food for the benefit of the Calgary Food Bank was collected during the 2019 Purolator Tackle Hunger event before and during Saturday's game against the Montreal Alouettes.
That raises the all-time total donated by Stamps fans in the 17-year history of the program to more than 1,214,000 pounds.
"Thank you to all of the Stamps fans for their generosity in donating to this year's Purolator Tackle Hunger food drive," said Derek Dennis, the Stampeders' player representative for the Tackle Hunger program. "This food will go a long way in helping those in need here in Calgary."
