Morays announce dance team coordinator and dance team tryouts

The Miami Morays, the newest professional indoor football team in the National Indoor Football League, is pleased to announce the naming of Marcia Wooden as Dance Team Director.
A native of South Florida, Marcia Wooden began to study Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Acrobatics at age four, and attended the PAVAC program at Miami Northwestern Senior High studying dance while earning her Public Relations degree at Florida International University.
Wooden is a former Miami Dolphins Cheerleader and served as the team captain and Showteam member, and was featured in the Miami Dolphins Cheerleader Swimsuit Calendar for three seasons. With the Dolphins Cheerleading squad, she has performed all over the world and has appeared in numerous magazines and runway shows.
She currently is the owner of "On Pointe Dance Studio" in Boca Raton, where she teaches dancers of all ages and talent levels.
MIAMI MORAYS ANNOUNCE DANCE TEAM TRYOUTS
The Morays would also like to announce the schedule for the Dance Team Tryouts on Dec. 18th. The Morays are looking for bright and energetic dancers to entertain the Moray fans in attendance at the Miami Arena.
Dancers will be required to work all seven home games and attend every practice. Practices will be held two nights a week for 2-3 hours each night. In addition, dancers will need to be available for any appearances throughout the season. Dancers must be 18 years or older.
Dancers are requested to enter the Miami Arena through the north entrance, and must wear a two piece dance outfit with skin toned tights. No thongs please. Registration fees for try-outs are $15.00, cash or money order only. The Miami Arena is located at 701 Arena Blvd. Miami, FL 33136.
The tentative schedule for the try-outs is as follows:
4:00 PM: Registration begins.
4:30 PM: Introduction of judges.
4:35 PM: Intro/Freestyle â Dancers come up in groups to introduce themselves, answer any questions, and freestyle dance to Hip-Hop or Pop Music.
5:35 PM: Choreographed Routine â Routine will be Jazz/Hip Hop and will include high-kicks, single pirouettes (turns-right and left legs)
6:35 PM: Judges convene.
6:55 PM: Dance Team will be announced.
7:00 PM: Brief Dance Team meeting.
