Francisco Morales struck out a career-high eleven Spikes over a career-high six innings as the Cutters topped their interstate rivals, 8-1.
Morales finished the night allowing one run on a solo home run. He walked two and gave up three hits while striking out eleven batters. It was the second time this season Morales fanned double digit batters in a start.
Randy Alcantara went the final three innings, tossing scoreless ball to earn his fourth save of the year. Alcantara allowed one base hit and struck out two.
Ben Pelletier recorded three RBI, giving him a team-high 35, blasting his team-leading 8th home run and collecting double. Rafael Marchan picked up an RBI in his 2nd , three-hit game if the season. Alec Bohm and Keudy Bocio each recorded a pair of hits with Bocio collecting his 13 RBI.
Eight of the nine Cutters batter recorded a base hit as Williamsport pounded out 13 total hits, snapping the Spikes 12-game road winning streak in the process.
