
Mooseheads Trade Alex MacDonald To Moncton

Halifax Mooseheads have completed a trade with the Moncton Wildcats on the opening day of the QMJHL's winter trading period by sending 18-year-old defenseman Alex MacDonald to the Wildcats, Mooseheads' Head Coach and General Manager Cam Russell confirmed today.
Halifax will receive an 11th round pick in the 2010 QMJHL Entry Draft in return.
MacDonald, claimed by the Mooseheads in round 7 (#109) of the 2008 QMJHL draft, played in 49 games with Halifax during the 2008-2009 season and five more games earlier this season, recording six assists and 28 penalty minutes.
