
MAINEiacs Acquire Hlinka & Carre from Sags

LEWISTON, ME - The Lewiston MAINEiacs were active on the trade front today sending forward Alexis Piette and Julien Houle to the Chicoutimi Sagueneens for Michal Hlinka and Marc-Andre Carre. The QMJHL trade period started today and will extend through the holiday break.
In 35 games with the MAINEiacs, Piette has registered 19 goals and 16 assists on the year. He was traded to the MAINEiacs in the summer of 2009 in a trade that saw former MAINEiac Garrett Clarke sent to the Halifax Mooseheads. Julien Houle was drafted by the MAINEiacs in the 2009 entry draft in the 6th round 93rd overall. He is currently playing for the Vaudreuil-Dorion Mustangs in the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League. He has scored 17 goals and 21 assists with the Mustangs this year.
Michel Hlinka has 15 points in 29 games with the Sags this year. Marc-Andre Carre has not played a game in the Q this year. He played 5 regular season games with Chicoutimi last year and an additional 3 in the playoffs against Rimouski
The MAINEiacs are on the ice again in Victoriaville after the holiday break. New Lewiston head coach JF Houle will assume command of his squad in Victoriaville on December 27 before his first appearance at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee versus the Tigres on December 28.
