Moose Release Smith From PTO

The Manitoba Moose today announced they have released centre Darryl Smith from his professional tryout contract.

Smith, 22, appeared in one game with the Moose since his recall on Nov. 4/09. He started the season with the Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League where he appeared in six games. In that span with the Bucks, he scored nine points (4g & 5a) and eight penalty minutes. The St. Catherines, ON native played in 60 games with Laredo last season where he accumulated 70 points (36g & 34a) and 48 penalty minutes.
