Moose Assign Bernier to Victoria

The Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, announced they have assigned forward Marc-Andre Bernier to the Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL.

Bernier, 21, has appeared in 22 games with the Moose this season where he's scored one goal and one assist for two points and collected 16 penalty minutes. On 38 career games with Manitoba, the Laval, PQ native has the one goal and two points, along with 23 penalty minutes. Last season, Bernier played in 44 games with the ECHL's Columbia Inferno. In that time, he scored six goals and 17 assists for 23 points and 34 penalty minutes.

Bernier was originally selected in the second round by the Vancouver Canucks with the 60th overall pick in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
