Montreal Juniors drop their first game on the road

Rimouski - The Montreal Juniors faced off against the Rimouski Oceanic Friday night at the Colisée de Rimouski, in their first game on the road. The Juniors fell to 1-1-1-0 on the season, losing in overtime by a final score of 4-3.

Dylan Anderson of the Montreal Juniors scored the first goal of the game, assisted by David Rose at 17:37.

In the second, Jérémy Gouchie scored another goal for Montreal, assisted by defenseman Xavier Ouellet and left winger Eliezer Sherbatov. Rimouski caught up, scoring one goal in the second period, courtesy of left winger Alex Émond, with less than a minute remaining.

Alexandre Tanguay of Rimouski scored the first goal in the third period, followed by teammate Alex Émond's second goal of the night at 11:41, giving the Oceanic a short lived lead. Less than three minutes later David Rose, with an assist from defenseman Charles Landry, scored the third goal of the night for the Juniors, tying the game at 3-3.

Rimouski's Alex Émond ended the game with his hat trick goal in overtime.

Montreal Juniors' goalie Étienne Marcoux allowed four goals out of 25 shots, while his adversary in nets allowed three of 36 shots, securing the win for Rimouski.

The Juniors will be playing again at home next Friday and Saturday, September 24th and 25th, at the Verdun Auditorium when they face off against the Saint John Seadogs and the Val d'Or Foreurs.
