Montreal Assigns Ryan White to Hamilton

MONTREAL, QC - The Montreal Canadiens announced today that centre Ryan White has been assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs from Montreal. White will not be available for tonight's game against the Manitoba Moose.

White, 23, played in 27 games with the Canadiens in the regular season recording five points (two goals, three assists) along with a +5 rating and 38 penalty minutes. He also appeared in seven post-season games with Montreal but was held pointless. In 33 regular season games with the Bulldogs this season, the native of Brandon, Manitoba posted 12 points (three goals, nine assists) while serving 77 penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 198-pound centre was selected in the 3rd round, 66th overall by Montreal in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

The Bulldogs will begin their second round series of the 2011 Calder Cup Playoffs against the Manitoba Moose tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Copps Coliseum.
