Montreal - The Montreal Juniors hosted the Baie-Comeau Drakkar this Friday at the Colisée de Laval. The team has a pre-season record of 4-2. The Juniors have already played in Longueuil, Shawinigan, Pointe-Claire, Valleyfield and Côte Saint-Luc. Montreal will announce its official roster before Friday, September 11th so players had their last chance to fight for the places still available. Montréal won 2-1.
In the first, Baie-Comeau's Guillaume Langelier-Parent scored the first goal of the evening.
During the second period, the Juniors came back in the game and Trevor Parkes filled the net with teammate Philippe Fontaine.
Finally, the Montreal Juniors took over the game in the third period when Trevor Parkes found the back of the net for the second time of the night.
The Montreal Juniors ended their preseason games on a good note. The first game of the 2009-2010 regular season will be away from Montreal against the Shawinigan Cataractes on September 11th. Then, the Montreal Juniors will visit Victoriaville, Val-d'Or and Rouyn-Noranda (on September, 13th, 18th and 19th) before the home opening game at the Verdun Auditorium on Friday, September 25th, at 7:35 pm.
