Monterey Bay FC News Release
SEASIDE, Calif. - Monterey Bay Football Club (Monterey Bay F.C.) forward Alex Dixon and defender Alex Lara visited Martin Luther King, Jr. School of the Arts in Seaside, California on Thursday, February 23.
"I enjoyed going to the MLK Jr. Elementary to visit the students and answer their questions during our mini press conference," said Dixon. "There might be some future reporters coming out of MLK Jr. Elementary! It's always a good experience and fun to interact with the kids."
The school hosted a private press conference for the players. Each student created their own press credential as they roleplayed as reporters and asked questions in both English and Spanish. Following the conclusion of the MLK Jr. Elementary School press conference, Dixon and Lara took pictures with the students and signed autographs.
"Absolutely loved being able to speak to the kids at MLK Jr. Elementary School," said Lara. "I think doing events like this can have a big impact on kids' lives, and maybe inspire them to go after their dreams as well."
