Monsters Announce 2012-13 Home Opener Date

It may be warm out now, but hockey fans in Cleveland can already start planning for the return of ice this fall. While the full 2012-13 American Hockey League schedule will not be released until later this summer, Cleveland's Lake Erie Monsters announced today that they will begin their sixth season at Quicken Loans Arena on the evening of Friday, October 12th, 2012.

Opening Night promotions will include the return of the ever-popular Dollar Dog Friday - featuring one dollar hot dogs and one dollar sodas, courtesy of Pepsi and Sugardale - plus, it will also be free Monsters magnetic schedule giveaway night; the evening will also include a free postgame skate and much more.

Single game tickets for the 2012-13 season will not be available until the full schedule is released later this summer; however, fans have the chance to purchase Opening Night tickets NOW by taking advantage of the "Monsters Summer Sizzler" package.
