Monarchs sign Chameka Scott to second seven-day contract

SACRAMENTO, CALIF., August 7, 2006 - The Sacramento Monarchs today signed guard Chameka Scott to a second seven-day contract, Monarchs Head Coach and General Manager John Whisenant announced. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Monarchs signed Scott as a free agent earlier in the season on April 17. She appeared in two preseason games with the Monarchs playing seven minutes in the May 4 game versus the New York Liberty and playing five minutes in the May 9 game at Albuquerque versus the Connecticut Sun. Scott was placed on the Monarchs inactive list on May 20 and was then waived on June 29, 2006. On July 31, the Monarchs signed Scott to a seven-day contact, which ended on August 6, 2006
