Chicago Rush News Release

Chicago Rush rookie WR/LB Etu Molden was named U.S. Army Ironman of the Week for his performance Sunday in Chicago's 53-37 Central Division-clinching win over Indiana, the Arena Football League announced today.

One of the leading candidates for AFL Rookie of the Year honors, Molden scored four touchdowns in the victory – two receiving, one rushing and one on a recovery off the net on a kickoff – bringing his season total to 30 TDs.

Chicago's leading receiver, Molden has caught 93 passes for 1,143 yards this season. He leads all rookie receivers in receptions, receiving yards and scoring, and ranks in the top 10 in the AFL in all three categories. In addition, Molden has done the job on defense, registering 24.5 tackles and two interceptions.

"Etu has been performing well for us since the first week of the season," said Rush head coach Mike Hohensee. "He plays great in all three phases of the game – offense, defense and special teams – and if Sunday's performance doesn't secure him the Rookie of the Year award, I'm not sure what will."

The Rush (11-4) will finish its regular season this Sunday when it travels to Denver for a 3 p.m. kickoff against John Elway's Colorado Crush (10-5). Fans in Chicago can watch the game on NBC 5, or listen to Rush announcers Tom Dore and John Jurkovic call all the action on 105.9 WCKG.

The 2004 Central Division champions will return to Allstate Arena to host an AFL quarterfinal playoff game Sunday, June 6, at 2 p.m. Fans wishing to purchase tickets to the game may order by calling Ticketmaster at (312) 559-1212, or by visiting the Ticketmaster Web site at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets also may be purchased in person at any Ticketmaster outlet or the Allstate Arena box office.
