Mojica Hits Walk-Off Home Run

Laredo, TX - Laredo Lemurs (43-35) SS Jimmy Mojica was the hero tonight as he launched a home run in the bottom of the 12th inning to give the Lemurs a 5-4 walk-off win over the Grand Prairie AirHogs (41-36).

Mojica had five hits on the night along with two runs scored and two RBI. Three other Laredo hitters had two hits, including RF Harrison Kainwho went 2-for-5 with a run scored and a run batted in.

Lemurs' reliever Jameson Maj earned the victory as he tossed two scoreless innings giving up a walk while striking out one. Maj improved his mark to 3-1 on the season.

The Lemurs win puts them a game and a half game up over the Grand Prairie Airhogs first place in the American Association South Division race. The Airhogs and Lemurs will continue the series Friday at Uni-Trade Stadium as they battle over first place.
