Modesto scored two more the next inning in the bottom of the third after Machi walked the bases loaded, Luis Guance delivered a single that drove in two to make it 6-0. The Nuts would add one in the fifth and sixth, as Oaks pitching issued ten walks and Modesto went on to win by a final score of 8-1 in game one.
In game two it was another battle of righties, Brett Wayne started for the Oaks against fellow righty Juan Morrillo. It was a pitching dual through the first three innings as only one hit was issued to both teams. Morrillo was perfect through the first four retiring all twelve batters he faced. The Nuts would reward him in the bottom of the fourth with two runs and Modesto lead 2-0. The Oaks rallied in the top of the sixth by scoring two runs to tie the game at 2-2. In the bottom of that inning the Nuts would put five runs on the board to take a commanding 7-2 lead and went on to win by that final. The Nuts sweep the double-header and take win the series by taking three of the four games.
