Modesto Nuts News Release
The Modesto Nuts organization has officially released their 2018 Community Impact Report. The report covers the 2018 fiscal year and discloses the Nuts contributions of just under $350,000 to community related programs. These programs focus on education, veterans, health, charitable services and much more. All implemented by the Nuts Front Office Staff and Modesto Nuts players and coaches in conjunction with over 160 community partners.
"Our community involvement was one of our top priorities in 2018" said Zach Brockman, General Manager of the Modesto Nuts. "I am extremely proud of the effort put forth by our staff this past year and we'll continue to make those same strides in 2019."
Non-profit organizations and little leagues used the Modesto Nuts ticket fundraising program to generate much needed funds. Additionally, the Nuts donated gift baskets which included game tickets, premium suites & autographed memorabilia to over 200 different local charities.
The Modesto Nuts Reading Program involved around 85 schools and 43,479 local students. The Reading Program motivated children to reach their reading goals by offering performance-based incentives culminating with a free Modesto Nuts game ticket.
Modesto Nuts Players, staff and coaches donated their time generously to the Boys & Girls club of Modesto, the Miracle League of Stanislaus County and Various schools in the Central Valley. In such a short amount of time they were able to teach these children important values such as chasing their dreams, having integrity and working hard for what they want.
In 2018, the Modesto Nuts staff and Mascots nearly doubled their Community Appearances compared to 2017. From school carnivals, community BBQs and much more.
