Modesto Nuts Cap is a clue on NBC's Life

The Modesto Nuts Professional Baseball Club will be on a major network television show for the second time in two years as the NBC hit drama Life will feature a Modesto Nuts baseball cap during the November 14th episode. Life is a new NBC drama that airs every Wednesday at 10:00 p.m.

In Thursday's episode, a Modesto Nuts cap will be prominently displayed and discussed as a clue to solve a crime in the episode. In addition to the Modesto cap, the show will also feature caps from four other California League teams: Stockton Ports, Visalia Oaks, Bakersfield Blaze and Lancaster JetHawks.

According to the official NBC Life website,, Life is a new drama about a detective who is given a second chance. Damian Lewis ("Band of Brothers") stars as complex, offbeat Detective Charlie Crews, who returns to the force after years in prison, thanks to close friend and attorney Constance Griffiths (Brooke Langton), after serving time in prison for a crime he didn't commit. The cast also includes Sarah Shahi ("Rush Hour 3") as Charlie's skeptical, demanding partner, Robin Weigart (HBO's "Deadwood") as their hard-hitting lieutenant, and Adam Arkin ("Chicago Hope") as former cellmate Ted Early.

In 2006, the Modesto Nuts played a prominent role in the WB's 7th Heaven. In that show, one of the main characters had to decide between attending college or beginning his professional baseball career with the Modesto Nuts. Be sure to tune in on Wednesday to see the Modesto Nuts on Life.
