Modesto Nuts Announce 2011 Promotional Schedule

MODESTO, Cal. - The Modesto Nuts are pleased to announce the 2011 promotional schedule. The schedule includes a variety of weekly promotions and premier nights throughout the season. Once again the Nuts will have a fireworks extravaganza following every Friday and Saturday game.

The Nuts will kick off the 2011 season on Thursday, April 7 with the annual Opening Night Celebration at John Thurman Field. There will be plenty of fun and entertainment prior to the game with face painting, balloon animals, a barbershop quartet on the concourse, and much more. Fans can enjoy $2 domestic beers from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the first Thirsty Thursday of the season, and a Fireworks Extravaganza will cap off the evening.

Other fan favorite premier nights throughout the season will include the return of Go Green Night sponsored by Stanislaus County, City of Modesto and City of Ceres on Saturday, April 23; Breast Cancer Awareness Night sponsored by Memorial Medical Center on Saturday, May 7; Noche de Beisbol sponsored by MillerCoors on Friday, May 20; Graffiti Night/State Farm Night at the Ballpark on Friday, June 11 sponsored by State Farm Insurance; Independence Day Celebration on Sunday, July 3; an appearance by Yo Gabba Gabba! €žÂ¢ stars Brobee €žÂ¢ and Muno €žÂ¢ (TM & © 2009 GabbaCaDabra LLC) on Sunday, August 21; and Fan Appreciation Night on Saturday, September 3.

Throughout the season the Nuts will feature a variety of weekly promotions, including the return of Every Monday Matters presented by Wal Mart and KFIV and based on the book by Matthew Emerzian and Kelly Bozza. At every Monday Nuts game fans will discover new ways they can help the community, and can receive a free ticket to a Monday game by bringing two articles of gently used clothing, two books, or two non-perishable food items.

Weekly promotional fun continues with KRAFT Singles Tuesday Night Tickets sponsored by KRAFT Singles and B92.9, featuring a buy one, get one ticket deal when you present a KRAFT Singles wrapper at the ticket booth every Tuesday home game; Wine Down Wednesday presented by McManis Family Vineyards will feature $2 glasses of wine until the 7th inning; Web Wednesday, which will provide a special deal at the ballpark to all Nuts fans who are friends with the Nuts on Facebook, follow the Nuts on Twitter, or receive the Nuts email newsletter; and Thirsty Thursday sponsored by Applebee's and The HAWK featuring $2 domestic beers and $2 glasses of wine from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Special promotional nights and a fireworks extravaganza will follow every Friday and Saturday game and those in attendance for Sunday games can enjoy Sunday Funday and play a round of baseball bingo for the chance to win a great prize. Each weekly promotion promises not only an evening of family fun at the ballpark, but also savings and incentives for fans during these tough economic times.

The highlight of the season will take place Tuesday, June 21 as the Modesto Nuts host the All-Star Smash Presented by Jackson Rancheria Casino and Hotel at John Thurman Field. The game will feature the best talent of the California League and Carolina League. The Hot Rod Home Run Derby Presented by Taco Bell will feature the best long-ball talent from both leagues prior to the All-Star Smash, and the Screamin' Sky Show will light up the skies at the conclusion of the game. The Clutch Poppin' Parade and Fanfest will take place Monday, June 20 at the Gallo Plaza to introduce fans to each of the All-Star players and provide an opportunity to get autographs. This free event promises plenty of family fun in preparation for the big game!
