
MLL Issues Disciplinary Actions After Lizards Game

DENVER - On Wednesday, June 17, Major League Lacrosse (MLL) issued disciplinary actions from the Saturday June 13th, 2009 game between the Denver Outlaws and Long Island Lizards at INVESCO Field at Mile High. This is in a direct result from the 15 penalties and numerous fights between the two teams during Saturday's game. The visiting Lizards lead the game with eight penalties, infractions that began to mount as the Outlaws' lead increased through the game. Denver had seven penalties throughout the game, the majority of which were tied into retaliations from the Lizards' penalties. The MLL issued the following disciplinary actions following the game:
- Major League Lacrosse suspends Long Island Lizards D FRANK D'AGOSTINO for Two (2) Games for Illegal Body Checks, Unsportsmanlike Conduct and Fighting
- Major League Lacrosse suspends Long Island Lizards D RICKY PAGES for One (1) game for Punching/Fighting
- Major League Lacrosse fines Denver Outlaws M BRIAN LANGTRY (Hofstra) and undisclosed amount for Unsportsmanlike Conduct
- Major League Lacrosse issues a written warning to Denver Outlaws D TOM ETHINGTON (Denver), M JOSH SIMS (Princeton) and Head Coach BRIAN REESE for Unsportsmanlike Conduct
- Major League Lacrosse issues a written warning to Long Island Lizards D TONY MCDEVITT, A ZACK GREER and D BRIAN SPALLINA for Unsportsmanlike Conduct
