Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero on...

On the game one of the Eastern Conference Finals series vs Baltimore:

"If I could take one positive out of tonight is that our season is not over and we have another chance. There were fouls that should've been called. We are very disappointed because knew we blew a lead. We know we're playing the defending champions and it isn't going to be easy. We are going to treat this as another learning experiences for the players. Overall, at the end of the day I thought we were the better team."

Approach going into Tuesday:

"We're going to train on Monday to get the team on the positive mindset. We are going to be in front of our fans and that makes us very confident and hopeful for Tuesday's. We know it's a Tuesday night so we're hoping all of our fans will make the effort to come down and watch us."

Locker room comments:

"It's one of those things where we don't want to point fingers, but part of me wants to blame the officials but at the end of the day we hold ourselves accountable. It's one of those things where we are in the semi-finals and we need all 15 players to bring their game."

Comments on "Complacency":

"It's the playoffs there and there is no complacency. The team is working hard and they do a great job of recognizing what the game needs at certain moments and we don't want to put ourselves in the same situation as we did with Kansas City." ###

The MASL postseason consists of three rounds, the Divisional Championships, the Conference Championships and the Ron Newman Cup Championships. Teams in each round will play a home-and-home series. Should the series be tied after the second game, an immediate 15 minute Mini-Game will be played to decide the winner of the series.

Mini-Game Rules

If the series is tied after the 2nd game, there will be a 3rd "mini game", which will be treated as an entirely new game. The 1st period of the "mini-game" will be a full 15 minute period. New lineups will be submitted just like the start of a new game. If tied after the 1st full 15-minute period, additional overtime periods of 10-minutes "golden goal" periods will be played. The mini game will begin 15 minutes after the conclusion of the prior game. Accumulated time penalties and fouls will not carry over from the prior game to the mini game with the exception of red cards. A player issued a red card in the prior game will be suspended for the mini-game. Teams will be permitted two (2) 60-second timeouts per mini-game. There will be no media timeouts. Each period will be treated as a quarter in regards to player foul accumulation. If a player accumulates 4 fouls in two periods the penalty is a 2-minute power play.

MKE WAVE DEFEAT PLAYOFF RIVALS KANSAS CITY COMETS; ADVANCE TO MASL EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS.

After dropping Game 1 of the Major Arena Soccer League Central Division Championship series in Kansas City Thursday night, your Six-Time Champion Milwaukee Wave bounced back Sunday afternoon (3/12) at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena and won Game 2, 7-5. That Game 2 win forced an immediate 15-minute mini-game 3. That 15 minute mini-game ended in a 2-2 tie and forced a 10-minute sudden death golden-goal overtime. Milwaukee Wave midfielder, number 77, Marcio Leite scored the game winning goal.

"It's an absolutely amazing feeling," said Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. "We know it's just the first round of the playoffs, but you look at the last few years and the Kansas City Comets knocking us out 4 years in a row. They have probably been the most consistent team in the league the past 4 years, so this was huge win for us. Absolutely huge!"
