Your MKE Wave defeated a very physical St. Louis Ambush team Friday night at Family Arena, 8-4.

"It's never easy playing St. Louis in their building," said Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. "They hung in there longer than we wanted them to."

As for player of the game?

"Nick did well defensively," said Oliviero. "Our defenders have been dong such a fantastic job setting the pace and making the good decisions, then you have gifted players like Marcio Leite who had 4 great assists tonight, Ian Bennett and Luan Oliveira who had a pair of goals. It was pretty much a complete team performance, so it's tough to pick just one."

Other goal scorers included #20 Marcelo Fontana, #2 Tenzin Rampa, #12 Pablo and #29 JC Banks. Goalkeeper Nick Vorberg, who stepped in for the injured Marcel Feenstra (ACL/MCL, out for season), had a big night on the defensive side as well. (SA-16, SV-12, GA-4).

Up next, the PASL Champion Chicago Mustangs, Saturday night at 7pm at Sears Center.

Coach, you've got a quick turnaround and hop right back on the bus after today's win, how does the team prepare with little rest?

"It's gonna be tough but we've got a veteran team who has been through this before," said Oliviero. "They'll be ready to go against our rivals Chicago."
