FORT WAYNE, IN (February 17, 2014) -For the second straight year, the Fort Wayne Mad Ants' own Tony Mitchell is the champion of the Boost Mobile NBA D-League Slam Dunk Contest. The Dunk Contest was held on Saturday, February 15th during halftime of the NBA D-League All-Star game.

Mitchell, who won the Dunk Contest in 2013, was joined by first-time competitors Thanasis Antetokounmpo (Delaware), Ra'shad James (Reno) and Darren White (Erie). The participants were judged by a five-person panel, including NBA D-League alum and San Antonio Spurs guard Danny Green.

Mitchell was able to come up with some jaw-dropping dunks to wow the judges on Saturday. In the first-round, Tony's teammate and 2014 NBA D-League All-Star, Ron Howard, stood behind the 15th row in the stands and made a perfect pass that Tony threw down. In the second-round Tony put Cam Hoffman, a Mad Ants' ball-boy, to work. Cam did a headstand in front of the hoop while Tony flew over the top him to slam the ball home. Arguably, Tony's most impressive dunk of the night came off of a blind pass from Ron Howard who threw the ball to Tony from behind the stands. All of Tony's dunks from Saturday can be seen in this YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?vohLKLeFK3PA&featureyoutu.be.
