
Mississippi RiverKings Holds on for 4-2 Win against Columbus

Mississippi RiverKings survived a determined comeback attempt by the Columbus Cottonmouths on the way to a 4-2 win.
Mississippi RiverKings made the score 4-0 on a goal by Sean Jones at 7:19 in the third period, and Columbus got as close as 4-2 when Mike Switzer scored 17:40 into the third period.
Mississippi RiverKings pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 16 penalty minutes.
With 39 shots on target during the contest, Mississippi RiverKings exceeded the 27.1 shots it averages per game this year.
Mississippi RiverKings additionally got points from Devin Mantha, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Mississippi RiverKings also got a goal from Todd Hosmer as well. More assists for Mississippi RiverKings came via Matt Harrington, who had two and Burke Gallimore, Daniel Sobotka, and Matt Whitehead, who contributed one a piece.
Mississippi RiverKings was unable to stop the Cottonmouths from sending pucks towards the net, and Columbus eventually piled up 39 shots on goal.
