Mississippi Blues News Release

Jackson, MS. The ABA Mississippi Blues will be participating in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, this weekend, October 18th. The walk will take place at the Mississippi Ag. and Forestry Museum, 1150 Lakeland Drive, Jackson, Mississippi 39216.

The Blues are the only professional basketball team in the state of Mississippi. Team owners Daniel and Demarcus Price have a really good reason for wanting to participate in the walk. The Price family had to deal with the loss of their grandmother to breast cancer. "We worry about our mother, sister and aunts that they may get breast cancer," said Demarcus. "So we want to do everything we can to raise awareness about the disease. We have even selected a game that we are going to done proceeds to the American Cancer Society. The Mississippi Blues full schedule is on their website, www.msblueshoops.com. The season begins December 6th. For more information, contact Daniel at 601 951 5045 or Demarcus at 601 519 9345 or visit the website at www.msblueshoops.com or www.abalive.com. It's the Blues with Bounce!

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
