(Southaven, MS) -- A young gun looking to make his mark in the Central Hockey League (CHL) is coming to Mississippi, as RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Kaminski has announced the signing of forward Tom Boudreau to this year's roster. Boudreau becomes the 13th roster announcement prior to the start of the RiverKings' training camp on October 5th at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven.

Boudreau spent last season with three different teams, Reading and Bakersfield in the ECHL, and at Indiana (Pennsylvania) of the Mid-Atlantic Hockey League. He was especially effective in Indiana, where he averaged nearly a goal a game for the Ice Miners.

The 5-foot-8, 159 pound offensive sparkplug finished his time in the MAHL with 17 goals and 46 points in just 18 appearances before being recalled by Reading in the ECHL. In 13 of his 18 games at Indiana, Boudreau posted two or more points, including two nights where he put up four points for the contest and two other games where he total five points on the score sheet. Of the 18 games Boudreau played in at Indiana, he scored a goal or an assist in all but two of them.

The Oak Lawn, Illinois native also showed his goal-scoring abilities at Robert Morris College in suburban Chicago, as he scored 25 goals for the Eagles in 44 games of his 2004-05 season. After that, Boudreau played his first professional season in Sweden before coming back to the United States to play in the ECHL and MAHL last season.

Kaminski says Boudreau fits well into the way hockey is played today, where speed and skill matters. "He's a smaller kid who has to prove himself everyday at this level. He has great speed, skill, playmaking ability and can score. He has great work ethic and wants to prove everybody wrong."

Single game tickets for another exciting season of Mississippi RiverKings hockey go on sale for the first time on Monday, September 15th at the DeSoto Civic Center.
