Greensboro Grasshoppers News Release
(Greensboro, NC)- The Greensboro Grasshoppers are delighted to unveil the NEW Miss Babe Ruth statue that once sat at the southeast corner of NewBridge Bank Park. Unfortunately, the original Miss Babe Ruth statue was stolen this past summer and damaged beyond repair. However, with the diligence of the Greensboro Police Department, the statue was found and returned to her beloved owner, President and General Manager, Donald Moore.
Miss Babe Ruth is excited to have her likeness back on display. However, this time she is sharing her movie star limelight with her brother, Master Yogi Berra.
The life size fiberglass statues will be unveiled tomorrow morning, THURSDAY, OCT 27, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. Please join us at the corner of Bellemeade and Eugene streets, as we welcome back Miss Babe Ruth and first lay eyes on her brother Yogi's likeness.
Season tickets and advertising packages are now on sale for the 2012 season. For more information, please contact the Grasshoppers office at 336.268.2255 or visit www.gsohoppers.com.
