
Miracles Turn off the Power

Moncton Miracles News Release
(Moncton, NB) The Moncton Miracles beat the Oshawa Power to improve them to a 4-3 record with a final score of 114-98.
The Miracles came out strong in the first 12-minutes completely shutting down the Power. Moncton went on a 16-6 run and while Oshawa was struggling to get any points inside the paint.
Darrell Wonge had an unbelievable 18 points in the first quarter to help the Miracles along, going 4 for 4 from the behind the arc. At the end of the first half the game the Miracles were leading 76-49.
Oshawa did not lie down though and continued to fight back eventually breaking into that 20-point difference. At the end of the third quarter the Miracles lead was shortened to 91-76 over the Power. Oshawa continued to push for the comeback but came up short in the end.
Darrell Wonge led the way for the Miracles with 29 points. Devin Sweetney followed with 27 points while Sylvania Watkins pulled down 14 rebounds.
Nick Okorie was the top scorer for the Power with 31 points. Amani Daanish was right behind him with 18 points.
Power's William Harris was fouled out of the game in the fourth quarter and Miracles Darrell Wonge also left after a technical foul.
The Miracles play their next game at home on Thursday, November 22nd against the Summerside Storm. Tip-off is 7pm at the Moncton Coliseum.
