(MONCTON, NB) The Moncton Miracles fell to the Halifax Rainmen at the Moncton Coliseum with a final score of 91-101.
The first quarter ended with the Miracles being down 14-23, which was the breaking point from which they could not make up.
The Miracles awoke after the first quarter and were able to come within four points with 2:33 left to play in the game. The Rainmen held on to their lead and proved why they are the second place team in the league.
Akeem Wright was the top scorer for the Miracles with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Joey Haywood led the way for the Rainmen with 23 points.
The Miracles play their next game on the road against the London Lightning on Sunday, January 12th, 2012. Game time is 7:00pm at the John Labatt Centre.
