Rainmen Defeat Miracles

(MONCTON, NB) The Halifax Rainmen defeated the Moncton Miracles in a Tuesday night road game at the Moncton Coliseum. The final score was 101-91.

The leading scorer for the Rainmen was Canadian guard Joey Haywood with 23 points, followed by forward Tyrone Levett with 18 points, and Lawrence Wright with 16.

Moncton's newest player, Akeem Wright, led the Miracles with 20 points, followed with Boubacar Coly with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Also scoring in the double-digits for Moncton were Jazzmar Ferguson, Darrell Wonge and Trayvon Lathan with 13, 12 and 11 points respectively. The Rainmen will play their next game against the Saint John Mill Rats at the Halifax Metro Centre on Saturday, January 14 at 7 p.m. Tickets for Saturday night's game are available at Ticket Atlantic locations and at the Metro Centre Box Office.
