FORT MYERS, F.L. (April 11, 2008) - Friday night's Florida State League game for the Fort Myers Miracle produced a familiar story with a familiar result. A clutch two-out double in the seventh inning by Danny Santiestiban propelled the Miracle to its fourth straight win, a 3-2 decision at Hammond Stadium over the first-place Dunedin Blue Jays.

Things again started off quickly for the Miracle as Brian Dinkelman and Johnny Woodard connected on solo home runs in the bottom of the first. Just like they did last weekend in Dunedin, the Blue Jays would come right back for a 2-2 game.

Jays first baseman Brian Dopirak would contribute on both runs, scoring the initial Dunedin run in the second. Dopirak led off with a double and later scored on a bases-loaded infield single by Jon Diaz. Dopirak would knock in the game-tying run an inning later scoring Sean Shoffit with a single to left.

The Miracle seventh began with a one-out, pinch-hit walk by Edward Ovalle. After moving to second on a B.J. Ryan wild pitch, Ovalle would jog to third on a rare balk called against Ryan. Recoving from left elbow surgery last year, Ryan then gave up Santiestiban's double down the third-base line for the difference maker.

Danny Vais led the Miracle with four strong innings in relief of Miracle starter Tyler Robertson. Vais didn't allow a single run, surrendering one hit with three strikeouts in the win. After giving up a lead-off single to Brad Emaus in the Dunedin ninth, Anthony Slama would strikeout the side to pick up his first save of the season.

Game two of the weekend set against Dunedin will take place at Hammond Stadium on Saturday night. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. as RHP Alex Burnett (0-1, 7.20) faces off against the Jays RHP Julio Pinto (0-0, 0.00). Saturday's game can be heard once again on the Miracle Baseball radio network, 1440am WMYR and 1660am WCNZ, beginning with the pre-game show at 6:50p.m. The first 500 fans on Saturday will receive a free Miracle t-shirt courtesy of Bob's Top End.
