ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--Minor League Baseball™ (MiLB) has teamed up with WowWee®, the maker of popular kids toys, including Paper Jamz® and Light Strike™, on a sponsorship for the 2011 Minor League Baseball season.

Under the agreement, WowWee will have a presence in 22 MiLB ballparks this season. Participating teams will give exposure to the WowWee brand and some of its select toy products through a series of video board commercials, public address announcements and product giveaways via radio broadcasts. Highlights of the sponsorship include an in-game, on-field promotion where kids will go head-to-head playing with the Paper Jamz and Light Strike products, and interactive toy displays located on the concourse of each ballpark during Friday and Saturday games from July 15 to August 15.

"We've partnered with Minor League Baseball because they are the ideal destination for families," said Marc Rosenberg, representative of WowWee. "They provide us with access to a unique integrated marketing experience via media, both video and radio, as well as incredible on-field product demonstrations. Best of all, we're able to speak to parents and kids together at the same time, thanks to MiLB."

The association between MiLB and WowWee Toys is mutually beneficial.

"Our relationship with WowWee Toys allows us to cater to our biggest target demographic group, families," Minor League Baseball's Vice President of Sales and Marketing Rod Meadows said. "What better way for our young fans and their parents to discover the WowWee products' features than through a hands-on opportunity at a Minor League Baseball game? The in-park product displays and on-field demonstrations allow fans of all ages to experience the toys, with no purchase necessary."
