
Minnesota Wild Re-Signs Defenseman Christian Folin to a Two-Year Contract

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has re-signed defenseman Christian Folin (pronounced FOE-lin) to a two-year contract.
Folin, 24 (2/9/91), recorded 10 points (2-8=10) and 13 penalty minutes (PIM) in 40 games with Minnesota in 2014-15, adding four points (2-2=4) and four PIM in 13 games with the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL). The 6-foot-3, 214-pound native of Gothenburg, Sweden, owns 11 points (2-9=11), 13 PIM and a plus-6 rating in 41 games over parts of the last two seasons. The blueliner totaled 41 points (12-29=41) and 55 PIM in 79 games during two seasons with UMass Lowell (2012-14).
