
Minnesota United Team Physician and Head Athletic Trainer Called to Assist U-20 U.S. Men's National

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (Monday, December 15th, 2014) -- Minnesota United announced today that Team Physician Dr. Brad Moser and Head Athletic Trainer Yoshiyuki Ono have been added to the medical staff of the U.S. U-20 Men's National Team. The U-20 team will be training in Honduras and playing its last international friendlies of 2014 as they prepare for the 2015 CONCACAF U-20 Championship.
The camp runs from December 15th through the 22nd with friendly matches against the Honduras U-20 team on the 18th at 4 p.m. and 22nd at 2 p.m. Both matches are scheduled to take place at Morazan Stadium in San Pedro Sula.
"Anytime I get to represent my country it is a huge honor," said Ono. "The opportunity to train young athletes at the highest level is both exciting and challenging. I'm excited to bring what I've learned working with top athletes at Minnesota United to the U.S. U-20 roster."
Dr. Moser and Ono have both previously worked with U.S. senior and youth national teams.
Ono started working with the national teams in 2009 when he was part of the U-14 Boy's team's matches in Boston. The following year Ono joined up with the U-20 Men's team for the Milk Cup and Torneo de las Americas. Ono worked with the Men's National Team in 2011 and 2012 for both January Camps and the 2011 Gold Cup. He returned to working with the U-20 team for the 2013 Toulon Tournament in France and then worked with the U-18 team during the Limoges Tournament, also held in France.
Dr. Moser has been team physician for the for over-20 teams' international trips since 2004. He began his time with the youth national teams with the U-17 Men's team when they played Argentina in 2006. Later that same year, Dr. Moser was the physician for the Beach Soccer Team in the World Cup. Dr. Moser's previous experience with the U-20 Men's team was for the team's trip to England in 2011. He worked with the Women's U-23 team from 2008 to 2012 for several international matches including England, Spain, and Germany. He was also with the Women's National Team for the 2012 London Olympics.
"It's always an honor and privilege to work with the U.S. National Team," said Dr. Moser. "It's wonderful to be back working with the U.S. Men's U-20 National Team and to be able to represent Minnesota United in Honduras."
