MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (Wednesday, December 10th, 2014) -- Minnesota United and INARIA, a designer and manufacturer of soccer equipment and a full line of team sports apparel, announced today an exclusive two-year apparel partnership. Starting with the 2015 season, INARIA will be the professional club's exclusive provider of fully-customized uniforms, training equipment and team apparel for players, coaches and staff.
"Minnesota United FC is delighted to be able to announce this great partnership with
INARIA beginning with the 2015 North American Soccer League season," said Minnesota United President Nick Rogers. "INARIA is an exciting, up-and-coming brand and we couldn't be happier to be their first professional club. The people behind INARIA are extremely creative and passionate about what they do and I know that this partnership will help our club succeed on and off the field."
Playing out of the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minn., Minnesota United plays in the 11-team North American Soccer League (NASL). With an average attendance of approximately 6,300 fans per game during 2014, the club finished the combined regular season in first place.
"We're honored to partner with such a premier club as we continue to build our brand across North America," said Saverio Michielli, general manager for INARIA. "Marking our first step into the professional ranks, we're excited to showcase our premium apparel and uniforms, and we're proud to have earned the trust of the players and coaches on this elite stage where comfort, performance and top-quality matter that much more."
United reached the NASL semifinals last season and has a talented young nucleus of players, including U.S. Men's National Team call up and NASL Most Valuable Player Miguel Ibarra, as well as NASL Young Player of the Year Christian Ramirez, who led the league with 20 goals.
"I am extremely excited to be partnering with a company like INARIA that knows how to make a great product for our players and coaching staff," said Minnesota United Head Coach Manny Lagos. "Understanding INARIA's approach, attention to detail and stylistic vision, I know this is going to be a great relationship."
