Mill Rats Stop Storm

The Saint John Mill Rats shot nearly 53% from the field on route to a 90-82 win over the Summerside Storm at Credit Union Place in Summerside Wednesday night in the Rogers Slam Dunk Fan Appreciation game. A sellout crowd of 4,200 fans saw the Storm come back from 11 down in the third quarter to within 2 before the Mill Rats pulled away for an 8 point win in the fourth quarter.

Anthony Anderson led the way for Saint John scoring 28 points, including a 6 for 9 performance from the 3 point line and added 7 assists. Antoine Tisby added 14 points while Will Blalock had 12.

Point guard Al Stewart led the Storm attack with 16 points as Mike Williams added 11.

Saint John had the lead by 9 at halftime.

Saint John will play their Rogers Fan Appreciation game Thursday night at Harbour Station while the Summerside Storm's next action is their league home opener Thursday Nov. 3rd against the Quebec Kebs.
