
Mill Rats Take Pre-Season Game at Summerside

Summerside, PE - The Saint John Mill Rats, presented by Rogers, claimed a 90-82 preseason road win over the Summerside Storm at the Credit Union Place in Prince Edward Island.
This was the first game that Mill Rats Coach Jaren Jackson unveiled his starting lineup of: guards Will Blalock and Anthony Anderson, and a frontcourt of Marc Egerson, Antoine Tisby, and Sani Ibrahim.
"Summerside put on a great show for the fans and showcase the NBL Canada product," stated Coach Jackson. "At the same time we were able to play our starters and start to build chemistry."
Saint John opened the game on an 11-0 run and never trailed in the contest.
The Mill Rats were led by Anthony Anderson with 28 points on sizzling 6 of 9 shooting from behind the arc. His backcourt mate Will Blalock ran the offense with precision and still scored 12 points of his own. Antoine Tisby and Sani Ibrahim combined for 25 points and 16 rebounds in the paint. The Storm were led by Al Stewart with 17 points.
Up next for the Mill Rats is the Rogers Slam Dunk Night tomorrow at 7pm at Harbour Station versus the Moncton Miracles.
The Mill Rats regular season home opener is November 6th at 2:00pm against the London Lightning. The Lightning are led by Head Coach and former NBA All Star Michael Richardson.
