Mike Oliveira named UHL Player of Month

RICHMOND, VA - The Richmond RiverDogs, proud members of the United Hockey League, announce that forward Mike Oliveira has been named Sher-wood UHL Player of the Month for the month of January, 2006. In 12 games, Mike scored 19 points on 10 goals and 9 assist. Currently he has the league's longest point scoring streak, which is now at 12 games, and a goal-scoring streak that now stands at 8 games.
The RiverDogs record stands at 19-21-4 for 42 points, 3rd place in the Eastern Division. The Dogs will conclude their six game homestand with games against the Danbury Trashers on Friday, February 3rd, and the Roanoke Valley Vipers on Saturday, February 4th.Both games will begin at 7:35 pm. Saturday's game will be Richmond Times-Dispatch Family 4 Pack Night. Game Correction: The Richmond RiverDogs will be playing Roanoke on Saturday, February 4th rather than against Danbury according to the past several press releases sent. The RiverDogs, and Edward R. Meek, sincerely apologize for the error.
