Portland, Oregon - Portland Chinooks starting guard Mike Hart will achieve his dream of playing professional basketball overseas this fall. The 6'6" product of Gonzaga University has signed with Baskets Akademie Weser-Ems/Oldenburger TB of the Bundesliga League.
Hart will leave for Oldenburg, Germany in August after helping his home team compete for an IBL championship in the states.
"I think this will be a good starting place for me," Hart told GoZags.com. "I hope to prove myself and work my way up to a higher division."
Hart has been a great addition to the Chinooks since joining the roster one month ago. He's averaging 7 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists through twelve games. "Mike exemplifies our organization's goals for our players. He has made the most of this opportunity, Mike has used his time here in Portland to hone his skills and to showcase his talents affording him the chance to further his basketball career.
